OLD ORCHARD BEACH, ME — A local man faces multiple charges including drug trafficking after a traffic stop Friday evening.
Nelson Gomes, 48, of Old Orchard Beach, was stopped by police conducting traffic enforcement at approximately 7:32 p.m. Dec. 19.
Officers discovered approximately 43.7 grams of packaged cocaine, 22.4 grams of compressed methamphetamine pills resembling Adderall, and a significant amount of cash during the investigation.
Gomes was arrested and charged with two counts of unlawful trafficking of Schedule W drugs, operating under the influence of alcohol, operating without a license and endangering the welfare of a child.
He is being held at the York County Jail on $35,000 bail.
