GRAND ISLE, VT — A 27-year-old man faces multiple charges after an investigation into alleged inappropriate contact with a minor.
Cole Botala, of Grand Isle, was arrested in August following an investigation by the Northwest Unit for Special Investigations.
Investigators say Botala inappropriately touched a female under the age of 16 in August.
The juvenile was known to the accused.
Botala was charged with attempted sexual assault with a child and lewd and lascivious conduct with a child.
He was released on citation to appear at Grand Isle Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Jan. 8, 2026, at 8:30 a.m.
