MORRISTOWN, NY — New York State Police have charged a Hammond man with criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree.
Todd J. Tyo, 37, of Hammond, was arrested following an investigation that began in July.
Troopers responded to Walrath Road at approximately 4:25 p.m. on July 28 for a reported burglary.
An investigation determined that Tyo was in possession of a chainsaw that had been reported stolen.
The ongoing investigation was conducted in conjunction with the St. Lawrence County District Attorney’s Office.
Tyo was located and transported to State Police barracks in Ogdensburg for processing.
He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Morristown Town Court at a later date.
