MENANDS, NY — State Police arrested a motorist on drunken driving charges following a traffic stop on Interstate 787 early Saturday.
Troopers assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol stopped a vehicle on I-787 at about 11:08 p.m. Friday for a vehicle and traffic law violation.
The driver was identified as Konrad D. Odhiambo, 31, of Troy.
Odhiambo was arrested for driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation in the first degree and other vehicle and traffic law violations.
He was transported to State Police barracks in Latham for processing, where he recorded a 0.16% blood alcohol content.
Further investigation revealed Odhiambo has had multiple DWI convictions in the last 10 years.
Odhiambo was arraigned at Colonie Town Court, where he was remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash, $3,500 bond or a $10,000 partially secured bond.
