LAKEWOOD, NJ — A woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant and drug charges following an investigation by the Lakewood Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit.
Officers observed the woman briefly enter and exit a location during the investigation.
The woman was identified as Desiree Worthy, 55, of Toms River.
Further inquiry revealed Worthy had an active warrant issued by Atlantic City.
Worthy was taken into custody, and a search incident to arrest resulted in officers locating a quantity of suspected heroin along with related drug paraphernalia.
She was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia and issued a summons.
Atlantic City authorities released Worthy on her own recognizance in connection with the outstanding warrant.
