Police seek suspects in vehicle thefts in Stamford

STAMFORD, CT — The Stamford Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects connected to a series of attempted vehicle thefts and vehicle break-ins on the city’s east side.

Multiple incidents have occurred over the past week in the early morning hours between approximately 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., according to police.

The incidents took place in the following areas: Warren Street, Glenbrook Road, Orange Street and Myrtle Avenue.

One suspect has been observed wearing the same clothing during each incident, police said.

The suspect is carrying a distinctive shark-themed backpack with teeth, which may help with identification.

The individual has also been seen walking in the Webb Avenue area after the reported incidents.

Police are asking residents to remain vigilant and report any information that may help identify the suspect.
