FAIRLEE, VT — State police arrested a local man on an outstanding warrant following a crash investigation on Dec. 17.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks were contacted by the Windsor County Sheriff’s Department at 6:40 p.m. regarding a crash the sheriff’s department was investigating that occurred in Bethel earlier in the day.
Troopers made contact with Ryan Cheney, 49, of Fairlee, at his residence on Terry Hill Road.
Investigation revealed Cheney had an active arrest warrant for domestic assault.
Cheney was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Northeast Correctional Complex.
