WRENTHAM, MA — Two dogs have been killed by coyotes within the last week, according to Police Chief Bill McGrath.
In both instances, the smaller dogs were let out in the yard by themselves at night or early morning.
One incident occurred at a residence around Thurston Street near the Foxboro line.
The more recent incident happened in a neighborhood off Creek Street.
Police are urging residents to take precautions when letting their dogs out.
Residents should take dogs out on a leash or be outside with them.
Police say dogs should not be let out unattended.
