CLARENDON, VT — A two-vehicle crash occurred on U.S. Route 7 near North Shrewsbury Road on Dec. 18 at approximately 12:39 p.m.
Charles Woods, 74, of Clarendon, was traveling south on U.S. Route 7 in a 2006 Lincoln Town Car.
Byron Pilamunga, 34, of Manchester, was operating a 2015 Nissan Murano traveling south on U.S. Route 7 and had stopped for a red light.
As the light changed to green, Pilamunga began driving and Woods’ vehicle rear-ended the Nissan.
Pilamunga was accompanied by two passengers: Sheila Aguilera, 25, of Manchester, and Guadal Vallejos, 20, of Manchester.
Woods was wearing a seat belt and reported no injuries.
Pilamunga and Aguilera were wearing seat belts, while Vallejos was not wearing a seat belt.
The occupants of the Nissan sustained suspected minor injuries.
The Lincoln sustained front-end damage, and the Nissan sustained rear-end damage.
Vermont State Police from the Rutland Barracks investigated the crash.
Regional Ambulance Service and Clarendon Fire Department assisted at the scene.
Woods was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for Title 23 VSA 1039.
Pilamunga was issued a Vermont Civil Violation Complaint for Title 23 VSA 800(a).
