HOPE VALLEY, RI — Troopers arrested a Warwick woman on multiple fraud charges Wednesday afternoon.
Alicia A. Moreau, 31, of Warwick, was arrested at 2:25 p.m. on an affidavit and arrest warrant.
The charges include obtaining property by false pretense, fraudulent use of food stamps, fraudulently obtaining public assistance, forgery and counterfeiting, and giving false documents to an agent employee of a public official.
The arrest resulted from an investigation by the Hope Valley Barracks, with the Cranston Police Department taking custody of Moreau.
She was transported to the Hope Valley Barracks, processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
Moreau was released with a future Third District Court date.
