ALBANY, NY — A 20-year-old woman faces multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from state police and crashing her vehicle early Friday morning.
Mahogany C. Gause, of Albany, was arrested following a pursuit that ended when her vehicle struck a guide rail at the Interstate 90 and Interstate 787 interchange.
State police said troopers assigned to the Latham Interstate Patrol attempted to stop a vehicle on Everett Road at about 1:30 a.m. for a vehicle and traffic law violation.

After the crash, Gause was taken into custody without incident.
Police said felony weight narcotics were discovered in her vehicle.
Gause was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a class C felony; criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, a class A misdemeanor; and unlawfully fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree.
She also faces numerous vehicle and traffic law violations and a public health law violation.
Gause was taken to State Police Latham for processing.
She was later arraigned at Albany City Court, where she was released under the supervision of the Albany County Probation Department.
