CLIFTON PARK, NY — A 40-year-old man was arrested Wednesday following a single-vehicle crash on Schauber Road.
Derek L. Pixley, of Corinth, was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the crash at 11:34 a.m.
Pixley is accused of operating a motor vehicle while his ability to do so was impaired by the use of a drug.
He is also charged with speed not reasonable and prudent and moving from lane unsafely, both infractions.
His vehicle failed to negotiate a turn and exited the roadway, striking a street sign and utility pole, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
No injuries were reported and no other persons or vehicles were involved.
Pixley was released on appearance tickets pending proceedings in Clifton Park Town Court.
