WHEATFIELD, NY — Three juveniles were arrested early Tuesday following a vehicle pursuit that spanned multiple municipalities and ended with a crash in Niagara Falls.
Deputy Sikora attempted to stop a gray Kia Forte at 12:07 a.m. at Niagara Falls Boulevard and Nash Road.
The vehicle had been reported stolen from the City of Niagara Falls, with multiple juveniles wearing face masks attempting to steal additional vehicles.
The vehicle briefly stopped but then fled at a high rate of speed.
The pursuit traveled through the Town of Wheatfield, City of North Tonawanda and continued into the City of Niagara Falls.
The vehicle struck a parked car at 22nd Street and Ferry Avenue, coming to rest on the curb.
Three occupants fled on foot and were apprehended following separate foot chases with assistance from law enforcement partners.
The three juveniles — a 16-year-old female operator, a 16-year-old male passenger and a 14-year-old male passenger, all from Niagara Falls — were charged with criminal possession of stolen property in the third degree, a felony, obstruction of governmental administration in the second degree and resisting arrest.
They were released on appearance tickets due to Raise the Age legislation.
The operator was additionally charged with auto stripping in the third degree, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle in the third degree, reckless driving, unlicensed operator and numerous vehicle and traffic law violations.
Both damaged vehicles were towed and their owners contacted.
Further charges for the crash are pending from the City of Niagara Falls Police.
