MANCHESTER, NH — A pediatric neurologist has been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a patient in his care.
Dr. David Vargas Lowy, of Manchester, was arrested Tuesday after a months-long investigation.
In September, it was reported to Manchester Police that Vargas Lowy had sexually assaulted a female juvenile during an office visit.
The Manchester Police Juvenile Unit immediately began an investigation.
Through that investigation, police determined that Vargas Lowy had changed medical records pertaining to the victim.
This week, a warrant was issued for Vargas Lowy’s arrest, charging him with felonious sexual assault and falsifying physical evidence.
Vargas Lowy is being held at the Valley Street Jail pending arraignment.
The case remains under investigation.
Anyone who has information pertaining to the case or regarding Vargas Lowy is asked to contact Manchester Police Detective Adrianne Davenport at 603-792-5549.
