Two arrested on arson charges in Wethersfield

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Two Glastonbury residents have been arrested in connection with fires set at portable toilets at a historic site.

Casey Miller Dudzinski, 18, and Nathan Daniel Caron, 19, both of Glastonbury, were taken into custody on Dec. 17.

Police said two separate unoccupied porta-potties were intentionally set on fire during the early morning hours at 220 Hartford Ave., the Solomon Welles House, on July 20 and Aug. 3.

The portable toilets were permanently damaged in the fires.

After an investigation by the Patrol and Detective Bureaus, police identified Dudzinski and Caron as suspects.

Arrest warrant applications were submitted and approved by New Britain Superior Court.

Both suspects were charged with arson in the third degree, conspiracy to commit arson in the third degree, criminal mischief in the second degree, and conspiracy to commit criminal mischief in the second degree.

Dudzinski and Caron were each released after posting $25,000 bonds for each incident.

They are scheduled to appear in New Britain Superior Court on Jan. 7, 2026.
