Two arrested in North Haven gas station robbery

NORTH HAVEN, CT — Two people have been arrested in connection with a knife-point robbery at a gas station on June 14.

North Haven officers and detectives were dispatched to the Road Runner Gas Station at 1915 Hartford Turnpike for a reported robbery in progress in which the suspect was brandishing a knife.

Upon arrival, officers determined the suspect had fled the scene on foot, and the North Haven Police K-9 Unit was deployed.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect had entered a vehicle and left the area prior to the K-9 track.

Through a collaborative effort with the Guilford Police Department and the East Haven Police Department, based on related incidents in their respective jurisdictions, investigators were able to identify a suspect and the vehicle involved.

North Haven detectives, along with detectives from partnering agencies, obtained and executed a residential search warrant at the suspect’s residence and conducted multiple interviews.

Joseph Quinn, 52, of East Haven, was arrested and charged with criminal attempt robbery in the first degree, threatening in the second degree, and conspiracy to commit robbery in the first degree.

Jennifer Selmquist, 48, was identified as a co-conspirator and the owner of the vehicle used in the robbery.

Selmquist was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery in the first degree and robbery in the first degree.
