DEXTER, NY — New York State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver of a pickup truck that struck a telephone pole and fled the scene.
The crash occurred Oct. 9 at the intersection of Lakeview Drive and Brown Street.
Police said the pickup truck was towing a pontoon trailer when it struck the pole.
The impact caused the pole to fall, creating a hazard in the roadway.
The driver left the scene without reporting the crash.
