UTICA, NY — A man was arrested after allegedly striking a pedestrian twice with a vehicle following an argument on Dec. 11.
Utica Police units were dispatched near the intersection of Rutger Street and Albany Street at approximately 10 p.m. regarding an accident involving a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim who stated he was intentionally struck with a vehicle by a family member of his child’s mother.
The victim stated an argument had ensued with a female prior to being struck, and while this was occurring, family members arrived on scene.
After the family arrived, another argument occurred, and the victim began to flee the scene after being threatened.
As he was running, the suspect began to chase him in a vehicle, ultimately striking him twice in the back with the truck.
When officers arrived on scene, several parties were detained, and the victim was transported to Wynn Hospital for treatment.
Kevin Clark, 61, of Utica, was charged with attempted assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree.
