LINCOLN, RI — Rhode Island State Police arrested three people on various charges between Dec. 15 and Dec. 16, according to Captain David Bassignani, District “A” Commander.
Troopers arrested Yasmeen Hernandez Fontes, 26, of East Providence, at 2:47 p.m. on Dec. 15 and charged her with disorderly conduct and simple assault.
The arrest resulted from an incident involving the Rhode Island Sheriffs at Providence Superior Court where Fontes was apprehended.
Fontes was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks, arraigned by the Justice of the Peace, and released with a future Sixth Division District Court arraignment date.
At 6:50 p.m. on Dec. 15, troopers arrested Devon Despres, 30, of Woonsocket, for domestic violence – no contact order.
The arrest resulted from a barracks investigation and Despres being located by the Woonsocket Police Department.
Despres was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight pending morning arraignment/presentment as a bail violator at Sixth Division District Court.
At 2:42 a.m. on Dec. 16, troopers arrested Shamel Bullock, 46, of Warwick, on a Third Division District Court bench warrant for failure to appear for arraignment on the original charge of driving with suspended/revoked license, originating out of the North Providence Police Department.
The arrest resulted from a motor vehicle stop on Charles Street in Providence.
Bullock was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and transported to the Adult Correctional Institutions Men’s Intake Center.
