BEDFORD, NH — A New Boston man was arrested for multiple charges after speeding more than 100 mph and a pursuit that ended in Bedford.
At 12:23 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14, Trooper Brian Knell of the Troop B barracks observed a white 2018 BMW 3 Series traveling 123 mph on Interstate 293 northbound in the area of Exit 2 in Manchester.
The driver passed Trooper Knell and failed to stop when Trooper Knell activated his emergency lights.
A pursuit ensued.
The vehicle continued onto Route 101 westbound, where it was observed taking the Kilton Road exit in Bedford and pulling into a parking lot.
Troopers followed the BMW into the lot with their emergency lights still activated, however, the driver sped away again onto South River Road.
There, the driver struck a 2021 black Hyundai Palisade, causing disabling damage to the BMW, which came to a full stop soon after.
The driver of the Hyundai Palisade was not injured in the crash.
The driver of the BMW was taken into custody and identified as Jose Munoz, 26, of New Boston.
Munoz was arrested and charged with felony reckless conduct – deadly weapon, as well as misdemeanor charges of conduct after an accident, disobeying an officer, and criminal mischief, along with various violation-level offenses.
He was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack District Court on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026.
