MONTPELIER, VT — A Thetford man was arrested early Sunday morning following a domestic disturbance at a local motel.
The Montpelier Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at the Economy Inn on Northfield Street at approximately 12:54 a.m.
The victim reported being struck and choked by their domestic partner.
Officers developed probable cause to arrest Adam Adolph, 35, of Thetford.
Due to potential threats toward law enforcement, officers from the Berlin Police Department assisted with the arrest.
Adolph was taken into custody without incident.
Adolph was found to have several active warrants for his arrest from the Vermont Parole Board and the Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division, for unrelated charges.
Adolph was transported and lodged at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility in St. Johnsbury.
He is scheduled to be arraigned on the afternoon of Dec. 15 in the Vermont Superior Court, Washington Criminal Division, to answer to the offense of aggravated domestic assault.
