PROVIDENCE, RI — A Cranston man was arrested on drunken driving charges following a motor vehicle accident on Route 95 South.
David Nicholson, 39, of Cranston, was arrested at 11:51 p.m. Sunday and charged with driving under the influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs, first offense, and refusal to submit to a chemical test, first offense.
State troopers responded to the accident on the highway in Providence.
Nicholson was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and held overnight as a bail violator.
He was scheduled for arraignment at Sixth Division District Court on Monday morning.
