HUBBARDTON, VT — Vermont State Police arrested a Rutland man early Saturday following an assault investigation.
Troopers from the Rutland Barracks were notified of an assault at 12:32 a.m. on Pencil Mill Road.
Through investigation, police determined that Johnathan Springer, 25, of Rutland, intentionally caused pain and/or bodily injury to Jonathan Jordan, 25, of Hubbardton.
Springer was located at his residence and taken into custody.
He was transported to the Rutland Barracks for processing.
Springer was cited to appear at Vermont Superior Court – Rutland Criminal Division on Feb. 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. on a charge of simple assault.
