Two arrested on drug charges in Wells River

WELLS RIVER, VT — Two people were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop on U.S. Route 302 on Dec. 13.

Vermont State Police from the St. Johnsbury barracks were on routine patrol at approximately 6:53 p.m. when troopers located two wanted individuals with a suspicious vehicle.

Cheryl Kozuch, 54, of Woodsville, New Hampshire, was arrested on two separate in-state warrants for failure to appear.

The first warrant was for charges of methamphetamine possession, cocaine possession and depressant/stimulant/narcotic possession.

The second warrant was for charges of obstruction of justice, DUI drugs, depressant/stimulant/narcotic possession and cocaine possession.

Kozuch was also charged with possession of methamphetamine greater than 25 grams, a felony, and possession of narcotic.

Kyle Cabey, 37, of Concord, New Hampshire, was arrested as a fugitive from justice on an extraditable warrant from New Hampshire for possession of clonazepam.

Cabey was also charged with possession of narcotic.

Both Kozuch and Cabey were lodged at Northeast Regional Correctional Complex on cash bail.
