WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A jury has convicted a man on multiple charges including aggravated manslaughter in connection with a 2022 crash that killed one person and injured others.
John C. Nunn, 31, of Washington, was found guilty Friday by a Warren County jury on five charges stemming from the Feb. 6, 2022 incident.
Washington Township Police responded to the area of County Route 57 and Butler Park Road for a motor vehicle accident involving a pickup truck that had crashed into the second story of a residence.
The investigation determined that Nunn had been operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
Tyler Balog died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Occupants of the home sustained serious injuries.
Nunn was convicted of one count of aggravated manslaughter, one count of death by auto, one count of aggravated assault and two counts of assault by auto.
He is remanded to the Warren County Correctional Center until sentencing.
Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 23, 2026.
Nunn faces up to 30 years in New Jersey State Prison on the first-degree charge.
The case was prosecuted by S.D.A.G/Acting Supervising Assistant Prosecutor Kevin Brotzman and S.D.A.G/Acting Assistant Prosecutor Joseph Dellera.
