PINE HILL, NJ — Police are investigating a suspicious fire that displaced eight residents at an apartment complex early Friday morning.
The Pine Hill Police Department was dispatched to the Mansions Apartment Complex at approximately 3:43 a.m. for a structure fire reported on a balcony.
Arriving officers found heavy smoke and flames coming from the 900 building and began assisting residents as they evacuated from their apartments.
The Pine Hill Fire Department arrived on location at 3:49 a.m. and placed the fire under control at 4:07 a.m.
Two units in the 900 building suffered significant smoke and fire damage.
No residents or emergency personnel were injured.
The eight displaced residents were assisted by the American Red Cross and Volunteers of America.
The fire appears to be suspicious and remains under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshal and the Pine Hill Police Department.
