WARWICK, RI — A Johnston man was arrested on a marijuana possession charge following a traffic stop late Saturday.
Sergio Alvarez, 23, of Johnston, was stopped on Bald Hill Road at 11:15 p.m., according to Rhode Island State Police.
Troopers charged Alvarez with possession of marijuana – more than two ounces.
He was transported to the State Police Wickford Barracks where he was processed and arraigned by a justice of the peace.
Alvarez was released and is scheduled to appear in Third Division District Court at a later date.
