WAWAYANDA, NY — The Kingston Police Department is aware of an off-duty officer involved shooting involving Officer Anthony Simon that occurred in town at approximately 4 p.m. Thursday.
Simon, who has been employed by the Kingston Police since March 2022, has been placed on administrative duty until the criminal investigation by the New York State Police and the Orange County District Attorney’s Office has been concluded.
Simon is a uniformed officer assigned to the patrol division.
