PRESTON, NY — A 70-year-old woman was arrested on a drunken driving charge following a one-car crash on Dec. 11.
Michelle M. Weston, of McDonough, was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with .08 of 1% alcohol or more in blood.
Members of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident on State Highway 220 at around 8 p.m.
Deputies identified Weston as the driver of the vehicle involved in the accident.
After an investigation, it was found that Weston was operating the vehicle while being impaired by alcohol and was above the legal limit, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Weston was taken into custody without incident and was released on an appearance ticket.
She is scheduled to appear in Preston Town Court at a later date.
