TEWKSBURY, MA — The Tewksbury Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify the driver of a dark-colored SUV that intentionally ran over and killed several seagulls.
Police were called to the parking lot of 1777 Main St. on Thursday at approximately 12:06 p.m. for a report that a driver intentionally ran over and killed several seagulls.
Officers found six dead seagulls upon arrival.
The initial investigation determined that a dark-colored SUV accelerated before driving through the flock.
Police released surveillance video of the incident in hopes that eyewitnesses or those with knowledge of the event may come forward.
Tewksbury Police and Massachusetts Environmental Police continue to jointly investigate the incident.
