Over 100 bags of heroin seized in Holyoke

HOLYOKE, MA — A Holyoke man was arrested on drug charges after police found him trespassing in an apartment building early Wednesday.

Officer Samuel Rodriguez was patrolling near 173 Elm Street around 12:30 a.m. when he observed a man inside a hallway of the building, which has clear no trespassing signs posted.

The man, identified as Amir Rodriguez, 21, of Holyoke, was placed under arrest for trespassing.

Assisting officers located and seized approximately 134 bags of suspected heroin, three vials of suspected crack-cocaine and $825 in cash.

Rodriguez is charged with possession with intent to distribute a Class A drug, possession with intent to distribute a Class B drug, possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class B drug and trespassing.
