LANCASTER, NH — A woman was arrested Dec. 6 after allegedly causing a disturbance and assaulting police officers.
Officers responded to the area of 180 Main St. for a report of a disturbance at approximately 6 p.m.
Officers were advised that Colleen Fahey, 52, of Lancaster had caused a disturbance and then left the scene.
While officers were speaking to witnesses, Fahey returned and continued to yell and scream and create a disturbance, according to police.
Officers attempted to detain Fahey and a struggle ensued, police said.
Fahey was eventually taken into custody and transported to Weeks Medical Center for minor cuts that were sustained in the struggle.
Fahey was uncooperative with hospital staff by yelling at them and refusing treatment, according to police.
On the way to the police department, Fahey deliberately smashed her own head against the partition in the back seat of the patrol car, sustaining cuts to her head, police said.
She was brought back to Weeks Medical Center where she was treated for these injuries and then transported to the police department for processing.
Fahey was charged with two counts of assault on a police officer, resisting arrest or detention and disorderly conduct.
She was released on $500 cash bail with a pending court date in Lancaster District Court.
