JOHNSON, VT — A 34-year-old man faces sexual assault charges following an investigation by the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department.
Kyle Collard, of Johnson, was arrested after the department’s Special Investigation Unit received a report on Dec. 7 from the Vermont Department of Children and Families regarding an alleged sexual assault.
Collard was charged with one count of lewd and lascivious conduct and one count of aggravated sexual assault.
The victims involved in the case are under the age of 19.
Following his arrest, Collard was lodged at the Northeast Correctional Facility and held without bail.
Collard was arraigned on Dec. 10 in Lamoille County Superior Court, where the court ordered that he continue to be held without bail.
He remains incarcerated.
The investigation was conducted jointly by Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department deputies and Department of Children and Families investigators.
