ORRINGTON, ME — The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man accused of violating his bail conditions by appearing at a residence where he was prohibited from being.

Winston Harmon, 19, of Orrington, was taken into custody on Fields Pond Road on December 9 after fleeing from a Fowler Road residence, according to a sheriff’s office press release.

Deputies received a 911 call at approximately 9:25 a.m. from a female resident on Fowler Road reporting that Harmon was at the residence in violation of his active bail conditions.

Harmon had previously been arrested by a Penobscot County deputy in Orrington on charges including domestic violence assault, violation of conditions of release and illegal possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

His bail conditions prohibited him from being at the Fowler Road residence and from having any contact with the protected party.

Harmon fled on foot before deputies arrived at the scene.

A sheriff’s office supervisor located Harmon a short time later and took him into custody without incident.

Harmon was transported to the Penobscot County Jail, where he is being held without bail pending an initial appearance on a new charge of violation of condition of release.
