KIRKLAND, NY — A Clinton man faces multiple charges following a domestic violence incident that occurred in the presence of a child.
Kristopher W. Bass, 26, of Clinton, was arrested Dec. 10 after Road Patrol Deputies responded to a domestic incident in progress in the Town of Kirkland, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.
Bass allegedly engaged in a physical domestic incident with the victim while their child was present.
Bass was charged with strangulation in the second degree, a class D felony; menacing in the third degree, a class B misdemeanor; endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor; and aggravated harassment in the second degree, a class A misdemeanor.
He was processed on the charges and turned over to the Oneida County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
Bass was held on $5,000 cash bail, which was subsequently posted.
All firearms in the home were seized at the time of arrest in accordance with New York State Law.
An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
Bass will return to court at a later date.
