OGDENSBURG, NY — A 29-year-old man faces multiple felony charges after allegedly messaging a child for sexual photos and soliciting sex in exchange for money and items.
Christopher R. Fifield, of Ogdensburg, was arrested at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday on charges of patronizing for prostitution in the first degree involving a victim less than 13 years old and criminal solicitation in the third degree for rape in the first degree.
The Gouverneur Police Department obtained a search warrant for Fifield’s apartment at 901 New York Ave.
The Ogdensburg Police Department, St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department, New York State Police and Homeland Security investigators assisted in executing the search warrant.
Additional evidence of sexual crimes against children was discovered during the search, according to police.
Ogdensburg Police Department charged Fifield with 11 counts of possessing sexual performance of a child, nine counts of possessing obscene sexual performance by a child and one count of promoting sexual performance of a child, all felonies.
Police said more evidence is being examined and additional charges are possible.
Fifield was arraigned at Ogdensburg City Court and held without bail.
He is scheduled to return to Ogdensburg City Court.
