GOUVERNEUR, NY — A 28-year-old man was arrested Friday on felony burglary and weapons charges stemming from an October domestic incident.
Ian T. Martin, of Gouverneur, was taken into custody at 2:10 p.m. and charged with second-degree menacing with a weapon, second-degree burglary of a dwelling, petit larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Police say Martin broke a storm window to illegally enter a dwelling on Parker Street on Oct. 4.
Authorities allege he threatened a victim with a knife during the incident.
Martin is also accused of stealing the victim’s bag and cell phone.
He was arraigned at Gouverneur Town Court and held on $25,000 cash or $50,000 bond.
Martin was transported to St. Lawrence County jail to await his return court date.
