ENOSBURGH, VT — A Montgomery man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Tuesday evening after state police observed erratic driving on Vermont Route 105.
Jason P. Stanhope, 50, of Montgomery, was taken into custody at approximately 6:34 p.m. Dec. 9.
Vermont State Police observed a vehicle operating in an erratic manner on Vermont Route 105 in Enosburgh.
As troopers followed the vehicle, it came to rest halfway off the roadway and halfway on the roadway near White Road.
An investigation revealed that Stanhope was under the influence of alcohol at the time he was operating the vehicle, police said.
His license had previously been criminally suspended, according to police.
Stanhope was processed for DUI and driving with a license suspended and issued a citation.
He was lodged on an unrelated arrest warrant for driving with a suspended license.
