VERSHIRE, VT — Vermont State Police responded to a physical altercation at a residence on Vermont Route 113 early Sunday morning.
Troopers from the St. Johnsbury barracks were dispatched to the scene at approximately 1:57 a.m.
Upon arrival, police found probable cause that Joshua Demars, 40, of Royalton, had committed simple assault and aggravated disorderly conduct.
The victim was identified as Jonathan Burke, 27, of Vershire.
Demars was placed under arrest and transported to the St. Johnsbury barracks for processing.
He was subsequently cited to appear in Orange Superior Court, criminal division, to answer to the charges.
