Man arrested on firearms charges in Hanover Township

HANOVER TOWNSHIP, NJ — Police arrested a man after a rifle round was fired from an upper-floor apartment into a first-floor unit.

The Hanover Township Police Department took Elijah Neal, 24, of New Jersey, into custody following a report of a gunshot fired in a residence on South Main Street.

After conducting interviews on scene with residents, police determined a rifle round was fired from the top floor apartment into the first floor apartment.

Neal was charged with one count of discharge of a firearm into an occupied structure and four counts of recklessly endangering another person.
