HOPKINTON, RI — A driver involved in a fatal pedestrian accident on Spring Street remains in police custody at Rhode Island Hospital.
Shannon Godbout is being held as a probation violator, according to the Hopkinton Police Department.
Police are working with the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Office to bring Godbout to court.
Authorities will review all evidence to determine what charges will be filed at her arraignment in District Court.
Additional charges may also be filed, according to Police Chief Mark J. Carrier.
