HIGHLAND, NY — A man was arrested at his residence Monday morning and charged with multiple felonies following an investigation into a September shooting.
Kenneth Vann, of Highland, was arrested Dec. 8 and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree reckless endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and endangering the welfare of a child.
The arrest followed an investigation into multiple shots fired Sept. 4 in the area of Elmendorf and Belvedere streets in Kingston.
Vann was identified as the shooter and indicted on the charges.
The U.S. Marshals Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force assisted in locating Vann.
The Northern and Southern Districts of the task force located and arrested Vann before turning him over to Kingston Police Department.
Vann was arraigned in Ulster County Court and remanded without bail to Ulster County Jail.
Shortly after Vann’s arrest, U.S. Marshals arrested Daevon Vann in connection with a shots fired incident in Poughkeepsie.
Daevon Vann and Kenneth Vann are brothers and were believed to be together.
Kingston Police Department was assisted by the Town of Ulster Police Department, the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office, the New York State Police and the City of Poughkeepsie Police.
