SOMERSWORTH, NH — A pedestrian was found injured in the roadway on High Street near the intersection of Beacon Street on Saturday evening and transported to Wentworth Douglass Hospital.
Somersworth Police, Fire and Stewart’s ambulance service were dispatched to the area of High Street and Beacon Street at approximately 7:20 p.m. for a report of a pedestrian laying in the roadway.
Upon arrival, officers located a 64-year-old male who was semi-conscious and breathing with what they believed to be serious injuries.
The individual was quickly transported to Wentworth Douglass Hospital for care.
Several witnesses stopped to render aid to the male, but no one reported witnessing the actual incident.
The male was located in the vicinity of a crosswalk.
