DERBY, VT — State Police arrested a man accused of stealing merchandise from a grocery store on Dec. 6.
Troopers received a report at approximately 3:27 p.m. of a man who walked away from Price Chopper with a shopping cart full of unpaid merchandise.
Police located the suspect near Walmart in Derby.
The man, identified as Danual Morrow, 45, of Newport, attempted to flee from troopers but was taken into custody.
Morrow was charged with theft and resisting arrest.
He was processed at the Derby Barracks and released with a citation to appear in court.
