SWANTON, VT — Vermont State Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that brought down a utility pole Saturday afternoon.
Troopers from the St. Albans Barracks were dispatched at approximately 1:27 p.m. to a report of a vehicle versus power pole crash near 22 Bushey Road.
Responding troopers located a 2020 Chevrolet Express work van off the south side of Bushey Road with significant front-end and front passenger side damage.
A broken utility power pole was laying across the road with wires.
The operator and sole occupant of the van was identified as Chad King, 47, of Sheldon.
King was not injured in the crash.
Road conditions were wet and weather was cloudy at the time of the incident.
The crash remains under investigation.
