SPRINGFIELD, MA — Police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed an adult female pedestrian.
Officers responded to the area of State and Federal streets at approximately 6:20 p.m. for a report of a car versus pedestrian crash.
The pedestrian was transported to Baystate Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.
The driver fled the scene.
The Springfield Police Traffic Unit is asking anyone with information about the vehicle or driver to call 413-735-1568 or 413-787-6300.
