Two-vehicle crash reported in Lincoln

LINCOLN, VT — Troopers from the New Haven Barracks responded to a two-vehicle crash on South Lincoln Road near Sugar Bush Hill Road at approximately 2:27 p.m. Tuesday.

The investigation showed that a 2009 Buick Enclave operated by Geoffrey Booth, 62, of Lincoln, was slowing down to allow a plow to pass from the opposite direction.

A 2020 Ford Edge operated by Deborah Cousino, 61, of Lincoln, was traveling behind Booth’s vehicle and could not stop in time before striking the rear end of the Buick.

The crash occurred during snowy weather with snow and ice on the roadway.

Both operators were wearing seat belts.

Neither operator was injured.

The Ford sustained front end and undercarriage damage, while the Buick sustained rear end damage.

The Lincoln Fire Department assisted at the scene.
