PENDLETON, NY — A 16-year-old pedestrian and a motorist remain hospitalized following a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Mapleton and Townline roads.
The accident occurred Dec. 4 at 3:09 p.m., according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department.
Jonathan R. Armstrong, 42, of West Amherst, was operating a 2024 Hyundai involved in the collision.
The pedestrian’s identity is being withheld due to his age.
A 2023 Ford F450 ambulance was also involved in the crash.
The ambulance was driven by Ariana M. Cozzolino, 35, of Lockport, with passenger Jacob M. Meagher, 27, of Lewiston.
Both Armstrong and the pedestrian continue to recover from their injuries at Erie County Medical Center.
The Sheriff’s Department Accident Investigation Unit is continuing its investigation into the incident.
