CLIFTON PARK, NY — New York State Police arrested two Troy women on multiple charges following a report of suspicious activity on Nov. 22.
Amber Slater, 44, of Troy, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class E felony; two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor; criminal diversion of prescription medications and prescription, a class A misdemeanor; fifth-degree conspiracy, a class A misdemeanor; false personation, a class B misdemeanor; unlawful possession of certain ammunition feeding devices; and a vehicle and traffic law violation.
Olivia J. Kilmer, 34, of Troy, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class D felony; fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, a class E felony; two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor; criminal diversion of prescription medications and prescription, a class A misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of certain ammunition feeding devices.
At about 7:38 a.m., a trooper responded to the area of Walnut Drive for a report of two people attempting to enter multiple unoccupied vehicles.
The caller reported the individuals were attempting to leave the area in a vehicle as troopers were arriving.
Troopers stopped the vehicle matching the caller’s description and identified the driver as Slater and the passenger as Kilmer.
Slater initially provided false identifying information but once identified was determined to not have a valid driver’s license.
Further investigation discovered the two possessed multiple items that had been reportedly stolen from vehicles in the area.
Multiple glass smoking devices containing drug residue, prescription medication belonging to another, a loaded firearm magazine and illegally possessed brass knuckles were located in their vehicle.
Both were arrested and transported to State Police Clifton Park for processing.
They were arraigned at Clifton Park Town Court and released on their own recognizance.
Custody of Slater was maintained due to an active arrest warrant.
She was turned over to State Police Brunswick for further processing.
