ALBANY, NY — The Albany Police Department and Albany Fire Department are investigating a house fire that left four people seriously injured.
Officers and firefighters responded to a residence on Western Avenue near Quail Street around 11:50 a.m. Thursday for reports of a house on fire.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel observed the residence fully engulfed in flames and learned that several individuals were still inside the home.
Officers and firefighters were able to locate four adult victims inside the residence.
The victims were treated on scene by the Albany Fire Department and emergency medical personnel before being transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital where they are being treated for serious injuries.
A residence located on the side of the burning home sustained damage from the flames.
